Guitar Ensemble
NCGS' Guitar Ensemble's mission is to create an environment of collaborative learning and social dynamics through the education of our students. Music is much more than playing alone in your living room, it is a vehicle to communicate with others while enriching people's lives. By making music together and sharing with one another we are able to contribute to our guitar community.
As part of the NCGS Curriculum, the Guitar Ensemble is an included experience. Suzuki Students begin participating after they've graduated Book 2, while beginning guitar students can participate immediately. This will always be included for any student of any ability level.
Unlike band and orchestra programs in public schools, guitar is rarely represented in ensembles. Because of this, Non-NCGS students may also enroll in the ensemble. While anyone can sign up and participate, we do require a brief placement audition which helps ensure you are given appropriate level music. The audition requirements are as follows:

- Preparation of a short solo piece which showcases your current ability level.
- A Small sight reading excerpt of up to 8 measures in length given the day of the audition.
